Candidate must be currently enrolled as a student in an accredited undergraduate or graduate academic program and have completed one year of study. Candidate will attend daily leadership team meetings. Identify new areas / clients that need to be incorporated into the routine scheduled inspections. Identify root cause analyses and develop corrective action plans to address root basic causes and management system weak spots through the use of industry-recognized cause analysis techniques. Ability to recognize and identify trends and develop action/mitigation plans. The candidate will obtain experience in utilizing local safety or sustainability-related programs.


    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


    • Review and propose updates and/or changes to current safety training documents.
    • Assist project managers or actions to review projects and document logs, and store inspection and logistic materials to drive risk reduction throughout the business.
    • Assist with special assignments or projects relating to EHS.
    • Assist in conducting safety audits, inspections, and Job Safety Analysis.
    • Identify new areas/clients that need to be incorporated into the routine scheduled inspections.
    • Work with MSA inspectors as they interface with regulatory bodies (DOT, State/Local Regulators) as needed.
    • Work with an assigned mentor to develop presentations and communicate the kick-off of new. Environmental Management Standards.
    • Write a report from the site inspection process and schedule.
    • Participate in accident investigation techniques through the review of first aid, employee, and supervisor accident investigations and reports.
    • Evaluate documents to develop strong attention to detail, and quantitative and analytical skills.
    • Assist in conducting routine inspections for Environmental Programs (Wastewater, Hazardous Waste, and SPCC).
    • Assist in performing analyses of enzyme exposure, noise, and air quality, concluding with a report on the data.
    • Update the site's industrial hygiene equipment list and identify items for calibration.

    Job Qualifications:
